Lawrence G. (Larry) Malone is an entrepreneurial senior executive specializing in telecommunications, broadband, and managed services. He has developed early stage companies and worked at larger, more traditional organizations alike. Mr. Malone is currently President of Cobalt Holdings where he is overseeing the implementation of a modern fiber optic, wireless, and Wi-Fi broadband network to deliver “guaranteed bandwidth” to the underserved Riviera Maya market in Mexico. Previously, Mr. Malone served as a division president at BT Infonet, one of the world's leading communications services companies, President of the Americas at m2fx (now PPC Broadband), a coaxial and fiber solutions provider, and Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Viatel, the builder-owner-operator of the world’s first cross-border pan-European fiber optic network.

Dr. Judy Reed Smith is a Harvard-educated strategist who tackled her first telecommunications industry project in 1987 and worked for such consultancies as Gray-Judson-Howard and Oliver Wyman. In 1991, she founded strategy research consultancy ATLANTIC-ACM, which has become the established leader in the telecommunications industry’s benchmarking studies. Dr. Smith has been named to a number of “thought leadership” and “most influential” listings in the telecom and technology sectors, and has been published in media ranging from industry trades to the Wall Street Journal. In addition to her duties at ATLANTIC-ACM, Dr. Smith has served as a member of the Technology Advisory Council at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and has served on the boards of a number of non-profit and education institutions in Massachusetts and New York. Having spent more than 20 successful years as President of ATLANTIC-ACM, Dr. Smith now serves as its Chairperson.

Mr. Gordon (Don) Hutchins retired in 2018 from his position as President and COO at Fusion Connect. During his tenure, he oversaw Fusion’s transformation from an international wholesale carrier to a premier integrated communications solutions provider offering a comprehensive portfolio of voice, data, managed services, and cloud solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. Prior to joining Fusion, Mr. Hutchins served as President and CEO of SwissFone, STAR Telecommunications, and GH Associates. At GH Associates, which he founded, Mr. Hutchins, consulted on business strategy and competition to over 100 telecommunications companies throughout the world. He also founded Telecom One, a nationwide long distance carrier he sold to Broadwing Communications, and TCO Network Services, a local wireless services carrier subsequently purchased by Winstar Communications. As an active spokesperson for the industry, Mr. Hutchins was a founder of the Association of Communications Enterprises (ASCENT, now INCOMPAS) and the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA).


 

John Coultas is Latin American business expert with more than 30 years’ experience selling to governments and the private sector in the region. He has a deep understanding of Latin American cultures and languages combined with technical competency, business savvy, and an established network of high-level contacts. Mr. Coultas has proven expertise in strategic planning, developing marketing strategies, and conducting social media outreach, allowing him to successfully support clients to establish new or grow existing businesses within and across multiple countries. Mr. Coultas previously served as Business Development Manager of Latin America for Tait Radio Communications and Director of Sales, The Americas and later Vice President of SOMA Networks. Prior to that, Mr. Coultas was Vice President of Business Development for CALA-LINK, a partnership development service to strengthen commerce between the European Union and the Caribbean Latin American region, and Manager of Global Business Development for ArrayComm, where he negotiated and sold wireless local loop (WLL) service throughout Latin America.
